Newcastle Golf Day Raises $2400

The Newcastle/Hunter Golf day was held on 12th of October at the Shortland Waters Golf Course. The day started off with a little drizzle of rain, but that did’t stop our customers turning up early for a bbq breakfast and coffee.

When tee off time came the rain disappeared and let the 85 contenders play out the day on the course. We had the longest drive on the 6th hole and closet to the pin on the 18th which was taken out by Mick Lewis and Wade McNaught.

Everyone then enjoyed a 2 course lunch in the newly renovated clubhouse whilst we waited to find out who the winners were for the day. A big congratulations went to Steve Cox, Jason Jordan and Gavin Towsey, PLUS Ben Burns, John Burns and John Whiteman – with both groups tying for 1st place!

Golf Day Winners

Thank you to everyone who came and who donated money towards our four local Mens Sheds. With the charity hole and registration fee, we raised over $1,200 on the day. Eagles has gladly matched this figure to bring the total amount raised to $2400.

See all the photos from the day on our Facebook page here.
